Track: Pediatrics and Neonatal Nursing
Neonatal nursing is a nursing specialization that manages the consideration of at-risk new born infants. This high level practice territory requires reported nursing experience and a graduate degree in neonatal nursing. Pediatric nursing is a specialization of the nursing profession that focuses on pediatrics and the medical care of children, from infancy to the teenage.
Both pediatric nurses and neonatal nurses provide care for patients who are children or infants. However, their specific duties can differ based on the age of the patient population they work with and the type of facility in which they work. Pediatric nurses work in a variety of settings, including hospitals, private practices and schools. Neonatal nurses typically work in hospitals or birthing centers.
